The Gear Up Games are an annual robotics competition hosted by Team 2338 Gear it Forward in the fall. The competition is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and experience to compete in the subsequent FRC season, in a fun and casually competitive environment.
Students will spend September through November learning how to build and prototype on a real FRC robot, to compete in a game designed to focus on the fundamentals of robot building. Teams are encouraged to have veteran student members mentor new students, and to allow students to explore their ideas.
We restrict the use of advanced components and limit the number of motors that can be used, so students must think creatively and build a robot that is both functional and efficient.
